Having owned 1 kawasaki ute and two polaris sport quads I am amazed at how few problem posts there are about our Cats. We take a bit of ragging about what lumbering tanks they are. However I did not buy a Cat to blaze down the trail at 65mph or do jumps. I bought it to pull a mower deck, plow snow and pull trees and I like to get out and ride the trails also. I am not concerned about going faster than 55mph which it easily does. Last weekend we camped and rode some very rocky trails and pulled some pretty steep hills. While the sport quads were hung up on rocks spinning the tires, the Cat just rolled right over every obstacle from large rocks to fallen trees with no effort. When the others needed to go back and gas up I still had over 1/2 tank of gas left in the 6 1/2 gallon tank. If you want a durable machine do yourself a favor and get an Arctic Cat. I'm not bashing the other brands because I have owned them and each had its good and bad points. I found that setting the front suspension two clicks firmer helps tremendously with the steering and allows for tighter turns without having to wrestle the handle bars. Just my two cents but I am glad I finally got an Arctic Cat. The 12" of ground clearance is a major plus if you ride rough trails.

Well i would have to agree. i love my cat. took the wife and son out riding today for about a 30 mile trip. and let me tell you, this thing handles like a tank with all 3 of us on it. but the ride was GREAT. i did bottem out 3 times though. so i'll have to stiffen the rear spring up next time we all get on her. i'm at 180 lb wife at 112-115 son at 25-30. and some lunch stuff it was a great time. no hill to big or small.
i know i'll never own a solid rear axle atv again. after riding my pops Kodiak 450 and grampas AC 250 both with IRS, i'll never go back to SRA.

be safe ya'll

HR.

catdude all the way

I have a friend who owns a Honda, he always hounded on me about my cat when I first got it --- until, we got into some places where ground clearance made the difference between riding on or being hung up every few minutes --- the hounding stopped
