Must be a difference between 04 and 06, our manual says 1.85 qt.

 

Must be, went riding this morning and put on about 20 miles...oil still just below full.

 

I have an 05, and my owner book says 1.85 qts. however the oil level is below the add mark at this amount. Engine was fully warmed, and sat off, while B/S-ing with the the boys for at least 30 min. ...still low. Long story short... took just over 2qts. to put it just below the top of the hash marks.
We also put on 150 miles last weekend and oil level was check numerous times and always was just below the top of the hash marks. Don't know but maybe a running change between the early 05's and the later ones.
