on pavment or dirt?, if you can unconspicously <~~?SP ad as much weight to your quad as you can. gives you more traction. run your tires a little on the softer side. and yes LOW use LOW,
if you have a front rack pack add a sand bag or two to it. that will keep the front down and pulling instead of wanting to lift and not do you any good.,
your atv it heavier then his so is should pull his around. BUT... you never know.
i think it would though. he who has the most weight wins, usualy.....
as for the fornt locker i would lock it in.

good luck and let us know how it went.

HR.

Yup, use low and definately lock the front end. The H1 is a good 100 pounds or so heavier than that grizz. You shold take him.

One last thought. Hook up as high as you can on your machine and as low as you can on his. This way the stress weight from the pull will force your machine to squat, making it heavier on the rear wheels and lifting his rear up and making it lighter.

Try not to break traction with yours if you can, even if it means applying light braking and when you notice he has broken traction then nail it. You will just drive off with him spinning his wheels - lol....

Equal weight, he probably wins. Sorry, Grizzy diff lock seems to work better than the Cats, at least thats the way it seems with the bikes I've had pull my drag..

Everything said here is right, as much weight as possible, (full tank of gas, etc. etc.), hook as high as possible, stiffen the rear shocks.

Your type of tires are more suited for softer conditions.

Not bashing, I have an h1 in my prowler and love it, but when it comes to pulling, I've not have a Cat win in any pulls that I have held. I do believe that cat has one of the best bikes out.

Hooking hitch to hitch might be different than pulling a drag sled, so I wish you well.

Definately go low gear. definately lock the diff. Both quads have enough power to spin the wheels, so it's all a matter of weight and traction. power is no longer a factor. I own a Grizzly, but i'm pretty sure the AC will win on this because of more weight pressing down on the tires. be careful, because flipping backwards is definately a possability, but I'm prediciting you will win.

i was at a hay ride with about 150 people. it was time for tug of war and ive got a 2002 500 manual (no locker). my friend had the brute force 750.(with a locker) both of our bikes had 27" 589's. we hooked up last year and neither one of us went any where. we both were in low, same tires, except he had his locker on and because his is an automatic it threw alot of dirt on me,but the results were the same. we both just sat there. the terrain was dry, with a little bit of grass. i ecpected to lose but ill settle for a tie!! good luck!
