Just bought a used 2005 650 v2 with 500 miles on it and I have the same exact problem.

Its driving me crazy and I can't figure it out!!!!

Checked both brakes and they are tight.....

Someone please help.

My first thought was the brake calipers, but they sit on the right side. My second thought was that you are not very bright and could have your left/right mixed up, but I remembered you are married and therefor your wife makes all the decisions for you so she would have came out and verified the noice before you sent it to the dealer. I say it is your exhaust, it is loose and when you turn left it stresses the frame just a bit to cause a clank. Those diff's don't go bad, even if people don't ever change fluid in them, they are built like tanks. Good luck and let us know what it is.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: ArcticCat4ever

Check the tightness of your rer brake calipers (there are two of them) I had one of them come off completely on my '06 500. If I had used my emergency brake, the thing would have probably damaged or destroyed BOTH calipers.</end quote></div>

When I first got my 2006 650 V-2 the caliper bolts came off the foot brake and some how wrecked the caliper, caliper bracket, brake rotor was bent bad and some how the shock had a hole in it from all the broken ****. I took it to the dealer and they estimated $560 worth of damage and the ATV was only 3 weeks old. they said if a rock got in there then warranty wouldn't cover it but I said you guys are screwing me over I said warranty will cover it I only have 150 miles on it. Warranty did cover it but then after they fixed it I was riding on the trails up north and I heard jingling in the rear so I check the caliper bolts and they are loose again. luckily the tool kit had the tools and I tightened them every 5 miles or so till I got back. I took it to my dads buddy who owns the cat dealer and he said they were suppose to use lock tight on the bolt and when I took them out there was no lock tight on the threads. So I used lock tight like they were suppose to do and never had a problem since.

As far as your noise goes. As much as I hate to say it you may have a bad axle. I had an 06 with 2700 miles on it and never had a noise and my buddy has an 05 with 3200 miles on it and never had a noise. I use to do a lot of riding on the paved roads with mine even though its not the best for the tires and drive line but I did a lot of tight turns on pavement and never heard anything.
