I am sure you have already installed the Venom Winch by now but for any in the future. DON"T BUY a Venom Winch. They are junk.
I installed mine, and right out of the box the gears were bound up. I took it off and tested it at Polaris and it took a Truck battery to get it to turn over. After looking at the gears and craftmanship i new, you get what you pay for. It's plastic!!!!! They have metal gears running on plastic. It just a matter of time before you throw it away. Warn is more but my last one lasted for years.
HAPPY ATVing

old post but important. SAY NO TO WARN WINCHES! metal gears running on 100% plastic everything else! first hand experience, even the freespool selector **** is 100% plastic and breaks easily. the winch case is never meant to be serviced due to little plastic seats for steel bolts. friends dont let friends buy south korea warn garbage!
