2007 H1 Wheels
#1
Took out my H1 for the first time today. Beat the rims up pretty good I am running the tires @ 5psi front and rear with green slime in the tires. Tires are not losing air should I be concerned about the bends on the wheels??

nothing to worry about. mine had 800 miles on them all bent up before i finally bought new aluminum rims for mine. steel is good but if it bends enough will leak, aluminum will never bend, just break at a certain point. but as long as theres no air loss youre fine. have fun riding.

Almost true. Aluminum will bend, but when you try to fix a leaky bend, it breaks off. Steel will bend back into shape with some work. I actually prefer steel to aluminum. I have however been looking at the ss series rims, which have a lifetime warranty

Mine are banged up too, Not to the point of leaking tho' I have taken a pair of pliars and just straightened the edge a little. You might try more air in the front, it may help especially if you are getting roll-under and dinging up your rims. I run 8lbs in front and 4lbs in the rear with 6ply tires. Most reason for the tire pressure if for handling purposes. Mine just handles better with these pressures also I am softest on preload in front and either middle preload or next softer on the rear.
