Default 700 EFI H1 vs 650 H1

I've read the specs on the difference between the two. I'd like to hear from someone who has ridden both.

Reason for asking: I'm getting a TRV in a month or two. Had settled on the 08 TRV LE with the 700 EFI engine, but... I walked into a dealer today, and they had an 07 650 TRV LE on their showroom floor. $8700 said the price tag, but I suspect that when the 08 TRV is out, that price might be more negotiable.

How much better is the 700 EFI? A little, or a lot? What I'm really trying to decide is, how much do they have to knock off the price before I go for that 650 instead?

i have ridden both and would personally get the 650. the only 700 EFI arctic cat i would get is the new H1 with the arctic cat engine. the AC engine is a lot smoother running and has a better feel than the suzuki 700 efi engine. id either go for the 650 H1 or wait a year and expect a 700 EFI H1 TRV.

Aha, you're right. I went back over the Cat site, and sure enough, the 80 TRV is listed as a 700 EFI, not a 700 H1 EFI. That engine is clearly labeled 700 H1 EFI elsewhere.

That settles it. The 650 it is. Of course, I don't have to tell the dealer that I'd prefer the H1 over the Zuki engine. Thanks for pointing out the distinction.

I just recently bought the 650 and love it. I looked at the 700 but I wanted to go muddin alot and everyone I talked to said that i shouldn't get the EFI, that water and electronic things don't mix...

When the ac700H1 efi motor comes out, I would say get it b/c of the added displacement as well as efi. However, even though the suzuki 700 efi motor is a great motor, I would take the ac650H1 carb first.
