Water in the oil
#1
I have a 98 AC 454 that runs great but it gets water in the oil. Its from the cooling system not from being submerged. Any suggestions? Could this be the water pump? I know there is a seal on the shaft. Would that do it or is this likely catastrophic?

Has the engine been overheated? Usually water in the oil is a head gasket or a cracked head and once in a while a cracked block. The first two can be fixed the block ussually not but thats not for sure. If its radiator fluid it is probably one of these three but I do not know arctic cat engines as well so maybe someone else has a different outlook on this!

I agree with mobilized 1. You have a crack some place. You can do a compression check to check the head gasket OR what I like to do if you do not have a compression gauge is to remove the radiator cap and start the machine. If you have a blown head gasket or a cracked head the compression will blow antifreeze out the top of the radiator.
