1996 Bearcat 454 throttle problem
I just got hold of a 1996 arctic cat 454 bearcat. When I leave this sit over night it starts right up and runs great. Good throttle response and top speed. After the unit warms up and I stop for a while it is very hard to get started. once started the unit does not have much power and I can not get high rpm even at full throttle. Is this a dirty carb or is something else wrong? I am new to the atv world but I am a decent mechanic. Can anybody help please?????

From what you have described it can be either fuel or electrical related.
To rule out the fuel you can check your plug color (you want a tan colerd plug) and or clean the carb , fuel/vent lines and fuel system and add some fuel stabilizer like SeaFoam or something.
If problem presists the you need to test the spark when the engine is cold and warmed up acting poorly to see if you have an electrical issue.
hard starting when Hot can also be a choke or intake air leak issue.
Hope this helps
