2002 Arctic Cat 300 4X4 front differential parts ?
#1
I own a 2002 Arctic Cat 300 4X4 wich has less than 600 miles on the odometer. This is the first year of the Arctic Cat front limited slip differential on the 300 4X4 as previous years used the Suzuki one.
I had a badluck and broken two (2) parts of the front differential, the gearbox "main housing" and the small "needle bearing" supporting the pinion.
Contrary to some other Arctic Cat ones, the front differential of this model seems to be sold only as a unit, and for more than 1500 CANADIAN $ at my local dealership.
Two questions :
- Anybody knows where and how to find a gearcase main housing at a more affordable cost ?
- Are these gearcases really different from the ones sold separately for other Arctic Cat models ?
Thank you and Have nice rides !

I have a 2000 300 4x4 and it shows to be individual parts for the housing itself in my manual. I would search around for a local used parts dealer for that type of part. $1500 seems to to be extreme. But then again parts from AC dealers usually are.
