The Maine riding and hunting thread

Got this idea from the Minnesota thread and think it is a cool idea for people to post where they may be riding so that we all can hook up for rides and also discuss riding areas.

Hey whats going on man, where do you live up here?
I live in central maine near Bangor. Theres alot of good trails here to ride on. I ride alot with some sport quads so a good ride is from newport to dover-foxcroft its an old rail bed so there isnt much mud on the main trail its pretty smooth, about 30 miles one way. They have opened up more you can ride almost to Greenville now and i think up towards sebec lake and milo.
If your into mudding you have to go out to Route 9 about 40 miles east of Bangor is Beddington and theres a small motel there and you can unload and ride pretty much anywhere with all kinds of terrain theres alot of exploring to do out there but i have yet to find a good map yet.
I hear also that there is plans to rip the rails up from ellsworth to calais to which would be about 110 miles one way trip.

I live in Skowhegan, I ride mostly the Solon/Bingham area, also do the Skowhegan/Waterville/Oakland area once in a while. I have done the Newport ride a couple years ago.
You can get a MAP of ATV trails from the Warden Service.

I have ridden out by the 'Notch' and 'Burril Woods', "Mudflats - Moody town', I guess from there I can get to Pittsfield but have not done the run, so I don't know the trails. I have gotten up close to Athens but again don't know the trails in that area too well. I do most riding in the Solon and Bingham area (Plum Creek over to Abbott and around Kingsbury)..
Yea, we can hook up and get some riding in. Will do most riding on Sunday now that Hunting is close to starting.

We usually ride in the Burrill Woods, Newport, or Brighton. Are you a part of the Big Indian club? If so, who do I contact as far as joining? I know Brownie has a camp up by my buddies place on the notch. Do I contact him? Would like to join if I knew who to contact.
