The machine is not two inches longer, the wheelbase is, but the overall length is the same.

Nobody will have one until December, late November at the earliest, and yes most of them are already sold. From what I hear production is slated to start any day now, Nov 1st at the lastest. I remember hearing that I would get mine by mid Oct, but all the production delays have pushed that date back into December. I will let you know what I think when I get a chance to ride mine after it arrives.

my dealer said they are getting 2 950's and they're not sold yet. i want one but i think if they make it this year without many issues then powersteering will be the next best thing on a cat. im gonna have to wait it out myself.

i heard that it has hemispherical pistons (that means not a perfect circle right?) and that THAT is the reason why it is so fast. But wouldnt it be impossible to bore it out then?

so it's still possible to get a big bore kit for it? is the hemispheric head just so that the motor can fit larger valves? that would make sense IMHO, since then you can keep a really long stroke for lots of torque while keeping large valves to get more power without having a nearly 100mm bore- which would make the engine almost like a car engine, displacement wise. (and because you can easily get a lot more power if you have a cylinder for every 250cc than if you had a cylinder for every 500cc- though a 1k twin would be lighter than a 1k v4)
