Default Engine Braking

Does the engine braking only work when you are in 4 wheel drive?

Yes uncle my 2006 Arctic Cat 400 FIS Auto 4x4 has engine braking in 2 and four wheel drive and the engine braking work's great on my automatic Suzuki 376cc engine with the Suziuki Duramatic belt driven clutch tranny it does a very good job , it even work's great even in high range going down some steep terrain it still work's as great in 2WD or 4WD so yes you do have engine braking weather you're in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive ! ...........

As said, 2 or 4. But much more noticable in 4x4, as all tires are stopping you.

Tried the engine braking tonight on a hill at slower speeds and it worked just great. Was a lot smoother then the P-650. Works in both 2 or 4 wheel drive. Thanks for the replies.
