gas milage
#1
i suppose I'm going to take some heat for this one but here it goes. Does anyone out there have the approximate milage for the AC 400 riding on flat type dirt/sand trails with say an average speed of 25-35 mph? I've been to may web sites , dealer and have talked to several cat riders. most say thats why the largest fuel cap. in its class so don,t worry about it. But I would still like some idea. As you may have guessed I'm still on an other type of four wheeler.

I have a 500 manual that gets about 20 mpg in the riding environment you describe and a 300 that gets about 30 mpg in the same situation. I have been told by my dealer the 400 gets closer mileage to the 300 than the 500, but can't speak for the 400 personally. The mileage varies greatly on both machines depending on the terrain. These estimates were what I experienced while antelope hunting in 2wd 98% of the time on good to very good roads. Hope this helps.

I have a 500 auto and before I rejetted it I got 77 miles to the tank in just about all riding conditions. It didn't matter wether I ride the mountains or the desert or rolling hills always just about the same. I have since leaned it out but have been unable to do a milege run on it yet.
This is for the 500 auto so the 400 should be much better i would assume.
