starting problems
I have an arctic cat 2005 400 4X4 manual transmission and Ive had cold weather starting problems.
It cranks but wont start.I got a new battery but it doesnt make any difference.Seems to run fine for a few days or so but then when it gets cold{0 to -20),the same thing happens. Then when it gets warmer I still have problems.Tried getting a new plug and no change.I tried turning off the gas intake thinking that leaving it on might cause the engine to flood but no consistent improvement.
Once,I got it to start by turning off the choke, using starting fluid, and running at high throttle. But this doesnt work all the time.Ive tried putting my hand over the air filter intake.I was wondering if there may be a problem with gas getting to the engine from the tank?
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
