Default Need a new engine, for my 650 V2!

I just got the bad news!!!!!!!!! Oh my God, I never thought it would be this bad!!!!!!!!!!!

While riding at Red Creek last Saturday, I sunk my 650 V2, some how the carb came loos from the intake at the front cylinder.

When the head was removed there was about an inch of silt (sand) on top of the piston. The rod broke, cylinder trashed, and bent crank. I may find a motor cheaper than the repairs. $3400 for the repairs. I only paid $4800 for it 7 months ago.

Does anyone know where I can find a 650 or 750 BF engine? Cheap!!!!!

www.crashedtoys.com has the following:

Description: 2006 Kawasaki KVF750 Brute Force. This ATV struck an ice heave and damaged the left a-arms and brackets, frame, left front shock, left front driveshaft, left tie rod, front fender, left footrest plastic, left rear fender, right footrest plastic and the tires are pretty thin (and also backwards). It has 705 miles, the engine started and it ran. It needs a pretty good cleaning too. Bids taken until 2-5-2008.

High Bid: 1,575.00

Thanks guys, I will be looking into both, leaning more to the 750 though. Has anyone heard of Flynt's Custom Performance? I found a forum on him, nothing but great things said, but cannot fine a web site.

Just another possibility.

Thanks

Well, I went with the total rebuild, but opted for stock. Got to thinking about reliability and didn't want any further problems. Will be adding the Dynatek CDI, and trying to decide which exhaust. Got a couple of weeks, will have carbs rejetted before bringing home.
