I just purchased a 2004 AC Auto with 114 miles on it. The orginal owner did not know what services had been performed at dealer. I took the original warranty (now expired) to the dealer to see if any warranty work had been, they didnt give me a good answer. Only that the oil had been changed and valves adjusted. And they didnt record the milage. I guess at that low of milage it doesnt make much differance. I know AC had some issues withe bad ball joints and tie rods. Does it apply to my year and model? (if so shouldent this have been taken care under a recall) How do I tell if they are the up dated ones. In other words what problems do I look out for that are prone to happen on this year and model?

 

not sure if this applys to your model this is actually the first i ever heard of the cats having bad front end parts. but do you know how to check your tie rods and ball joints?? if you check them frequently enough youll be all set. i thought the 04's were prone to a leaking gas tank and thats a recall issue but im not 100% sure that was your model
