My quad got swamped crossing a river today. The water splashed over the top of the machine and the exhaust was covered when it stalled, it took a Bronco to pull it the rest of the way out. It has turned over and spit water out the exhaust. Now it will not turn over and the pull cord is locked. Besides pulling the plugs and changing the oil along with the air filter what should I be looking for so I don't screw up my machine.

If you did not pull the spark plugs before trying to crank it, the damage may already have been done. We've seen quite a few of the AC 650 and Kawasaki 650/750's that have been sunk and tried to crank without pulling the plugs first.... Usual result is compressed piston tops that sticks the rings = no compression.
Pull your spark plugs, change the oil & filter, drain the carbs, clean the air filter & air box, and check your compression - you may have been lucky.

That's why my Polaris Magnum blew. Water in the oil, the guy was a mechanic who sold it to us, wouldn't you assume he would know? Still trying to get the block repaired, it's almost done.. $500.00 later.. Though at $900.00 the machine was a steal with everything else pristine.

Well I have drained the oil, pulled the plug and have been trying to be patient. The oil in the pan was really milky but, the oil in the filter was fine and had no water in it at all. When I pulled the plug it was clean but who knows at this point.
Any advice is apreciated
