Default 700 efi backfire

Went to start my 2007 700 efi and everything seemed normal until i it wouldnt rev up all the way,and it backfired on wide open throttle. If the battery is low on these efi machines, will this cause them to run rough.Seems i cant keep the battery fully charged.Thanks.

Did you ever find out if low battery caused back-fire? I'm having similar issues with my AC400. I know the battery is toast. It will crank and idle, but if you try to give it any gas, it spits, sputters, back-fires, etc. Weird thing is, it improves when winch button is depressed or I turn on the headlights!?!?!? I haven't changed the battery yet since i don't want to buy a battery if it still isn't going to run. I will ride the Polaris if necessary

Yes, a low battery on a fuel injected machine can cause it to do that at high rpms.
