I have no idea because I have yet to see one in action or ride one, but I can almost guarantee its top speed is more than 50-60. I can pull 65mph on my 650.

Mine will do 83 on the GPS then hits limiter and has more to go if it wasn't governed, at 60 it ignites the tires on gravel, 50-60!!!!!!!!!! dude you are so full of ****, someone better press your **** release button otherwise your going to explode

Yep they are governed at 80, give or take, but 80 was the target for the governor/revlimter.
hp at the Crank is speced at 67 and at the wheels mine pulls high 40s stock, and low 50s piped. Last time I tested it was making 54hp with black magic slip on pipe.

My take on the ones I have, the Cat has a great motor and its in a decent quad. Compared to my can-am 800, the Can-am has almost as great a motor but it setting in a great quad. Personal preffernce to which one I preffer to ride, it is the Can-am. much more comforatable IMO and almost as fast.

If you need or are looking for a lot of ground clearce the Cat has it, the Outy doesn't. There are pro's and con's to both machines.

50-60? LOL

Not to take away from the TC at all, but keep in mind the 09 model Can Am 800's are now rated at 69hp.

I believe the 09 Can-ams were increased 9% in topend power, not 9hp, and they did qualify the 9% as top end power and not peak power. I am still waitng for an official anouncement on the actual peak hp of the 800Rs.

ALMOSTxHollywood may have been inaccurate but I don't think he needs to be put down in a slanderous way, do you? Don't let your ego control your mouth, he was only trying to help. Everyone is wrong every now and then...

Sorry, I was just reposting what was said on a few other sites...I was under the impression that Can Am did release the info that they gained another 7hp on the 09 800 models, but I never checked their site myself.

Thats the first I herd of the 7hp deal, any idea where that came from. At 9% even if it were reffering to peak hp would be 60x9% = 5.4hp. I would have thought that, had Can-am actually got another 11-12% they would have been really promoting it in there adds and press releases. I am just wondering where that 7hp number came from? If its legit, thats going to be be a pretty cool deal, it will have more than the T-cat in about 100 pound lighter machine.
