Default high vs low??

ive never really used the low gear unless im climbing or pulling something.otherwise i keep it in high gear.is this wrong?high gear seems to be fine when riding the trail, mudding or just around the yard.low gear seems to hesitate, and takes more out of motor .i left the state where my 500 auto was for about a year .theres no tellin who rode it and if they rode it in low gear at top speed. any info would be great!!!!!!

The only reason that thare is a low on most machines is 4 like yard work, hill climbs or bahemith mud pits thats really the only time you will ever need it so you r ok if your ridding it in hi

I use low gear for anything other than general riding like on a fairly easy trail. All other riding i use low gear, its easier on your engine, trans, and clutch. It also takes less throttle usage. Im not saying that you should just stating how i use hi/low.

Up to 15 mph I will use low range, above that will usually shift into high. My TRV seems to top out about 30 mph in low.
