Can someone help us out on how to remove the clutch restrictor and find a high rev CDI for a 2006 arctic cat 90cc DVX? We are trying to get some improved top end and the atv is currently bone stock and our kids have reached a good riding level so we are ok with it delivering better performance.
1. Remove the variator/clutch restrictor. We've seen a couple of postings but are still a bit lost. The clutch assembly picture from the parts schematic can be found at World of Powersports (http://www.worldofpowersports....rctic-cat/index.html). Maybe someone has done this removal provide advice, pictures or use the parts schemativ to identify the restrictor. This restrictor is apparently some kind of brass bushing between the variator and clutch pulleys. We can also take some pics of our motor with the clutch cover removed if that would help.
2. High performance CDI box. We have read about replacement CDI boxes from vendors like Big Gun, Rev Max, Dynatek, HotShot however, we cannot seem to find any applications for the 06 DVX 90.
If you have any pictures or need to email directly, please use importgaragejoe@yahoo.com THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Just checked the link and it was abbreviated and broken. The correct link to the schematic parts list is
http://www.worldofpowersports.com/oe...cat/index.html
The catelogs are listed according to year and model. Ours is 2006 cat 90 dvx. The clutch assembly is on page 24 Thanks

I just removed the clutch bushing on my son's 2006 AC 90 Utility and it did help a little, very little. It improved from 15 to 20.9 mph (clocked by GPS). They recommend this bike for kids up to 12 yrs old. Yeah, right! Anyway, how much slack should be in the clutch belt?
