Default Elevation issue?

Hello.!.

I have a 2005 Arctic Cat 500 Auto.

It had 1200miles when I bought it. Excellent shape from a acreage.

A 2003 Arctic Cat 400 standard with 150miles (new) same thing.

Changed the fuel's and added stabilizer. Oils etc too.
Took them on a mountain trip where we sled ( 2005 King Cat 1M ) in the winter.
They ran good at first, then gradual loss of power for the rest of trip until back to stage area. about 50miles. Couldnt get past half throttle without bogging out.
Both ran with identical characteristics.

Does anyone know if these are not supposed to self adjust, or does it matter about altitude same as the sleds?
If different jets any recomendations?

Much appreciated

assuming they aren't fuel injected I would try pulling off the air box lid at the higher alt. it should give you better results

No they do not self adjust. If you will be doing alot of that kind of riding, you should consider a dial-a-jet system. You can adjust on the fly the amount of fuel going into the carb.
