Is it broken or just sticking? If it's just sticking then taking off at the lever on the handlebar and then disassembling the small black box half way down the cable and cleaning out oout all the heavy grease, lubing the 3 cables, working them as you lube and reassembling them should do the trick. Otherwise, replacing the cable requires removing the carbs, that is the easiest way.
