500 ac gas running out of carb
Here is a picture of the block off plate I made for mine:
It's a bit on the crude side but I'm going to make another that is a little prettier. Its just a piece of 1/8" aluminum plate that was cut in the shape of the base of the primer with a jig saw. I found an o-ring at the hardware store that was the perfect size to fit in the notch in the carb and held it in with a little dab of grease while I put the plate on. Its been on there for a couple of weeks now and hasn't leaked a drop. I never used the primer for anything and I don't know why you would with electric start and a choke on a gravity fed fuel system. Hopefully this helps someone out down the road. This is a lot better than spending $25 or $30 to replace the stocker.
