I am looking to get one of these from my son - anyone have one or experience with one? Are they farmed out to the "cheap" atv manufacturers or does Arctic Cat make them? Thanks for any input.

Hey Louisiana/Brandon;

My wife and I toured the Arctic Cat Factory in Thief River Falls, MN and I have to tell you we were trully impressed in the dedication to their product. They not only build the parts for their machines, they completely assemble the machines from start to finish and then drive each one off the line. We even watched them blow the foam into the seats on their machines. They of course do not build their Suzuki engines, they come in a crate. We watched as they welded the frames, painted them, and that began the assembly process.

I am sure they build their Cat 90. The company is very impressive. I own several Arctic Cats, snowmobiles and one BIG ATV (TRV 2 seater). I've been operating the Cat products since the late 70's.

Have fun with it..

No brandon AC doesn't build the AC 90 they build the 400 class and up , Kymco built the small model's up to the 250,300's untill they dropped them in 05' or 05' year model's ; since 2008 my local dealer started carrying the Kymco quads using the Kymco badge/name on their quad's built by Kymco !

Don't hold me to this for sure because i'm not 100% sure that Kymco build's the 50's and 90's , but i do know they're not a true AC ; i would call your local dealership and ask their tech if Kymco does build the 90's sure !........

Williebee, do these smaller machines have the KYMCO name on them? I can't imagine CAT putting their name on them. But then, I guess a lot has changed since we visitd the factory. They even built the little 59cc Kitty Cat Snowmobile. BUT then, WalMart used to advertise that they sold nothing but USA made products.....

The 366 and under are all built by Kymco.
I'd say if you look hard enough you'll find something that says Kymco or at least "Made in Taiwan"
I think PoPo, and BRP both use Kymco also for their smaller stuff.

Im pretty sure AC picked up Kymco again to make their 50's and 90's. There is nothing wrong with Kymco. They make good quads(50's and 90's). As BTI stated, check the frame. I bet you just might find the Kymco sticker on it. Most mini's that are from the Big Four are not made by them(with the exception of Suzuki).

You know, without Forums such as this, this information would reach very few people instead of thousands. Keep up the good work. If you don't ask, you'll never know for sure.

Most importantly, don't ask the person who is selling the item you're questioning without realizing their answer may be biased....

I sell equipment part-time.
You'd be surprised how many people ask if a competitors product is any good.
This lets me know they are asking the other guy the same question.

Hey BTI,

I guess that's what they call, "shoppin' around'. Bless their little hearts. And besides, what can you say, "this is America"... Ya' gotta love it...!

I have no issue with it...
I just think it's funny for someone to ask the competition how good the other guys equipment is.
Some are honest....some no so much.
