Anyone have anything to say about these models? I just got a 97 and can't find anything about them

Great quad! I had the 98 500 (basically the same thing) The pro's- bulletproof, great lower center of gravity for off camber side hills, great tow rig for pulling heavy trailers and boats around because all of the weight is on the solid axle and tires instead of the soft independent suspension, low geared which is great for rock crawling and very steep trails. Con's- full time 4X4, low ground clearence, too low geared for long, high speed trail riding.
They are a great work horse with very low maintenance.
