yeah thats the one im thinking of. I used to have a 99 300 and I remember seeing the diagram of the carb and thought that it said the size in it. For some reason im thinking its either a 28mm or 32mm carb. deffinantly a mikuni though.

I have the service manuals for years 2000-2004. I am not sure if its identical or not but the AC 250 and 300 for 2000 had a Keihin CVK32. Which is a 32mm carb. Jetting and a few other adjustments are different.

So I would say put the CVK32 in and play with the jetting. There may be a tag or old number on the previous carb that might help you.

Mudslingingfool, I am pretty sure it is a mikuki but I think they stopped making it in 1999. At least I cannot find the complete carb on my parts lists anymore. But in 2000 they switched to a Keihin carb and I know you can still get those new.

I do not see a difference betweehn the 300 and the 250 carb except jetting so he might be able to squeeze a few more CC's out with a CVK32 carb.
