Where can I find plastic cv boot guards for a 2000 AC 500?

Arctic Cat has them in their accessory catalog. Don't know how well they work, they're the same as come standard on the 2001's.

Why would you prefer plastic over the steel OxLites? I like the plastic SkidPlate on the Cats (easier to slide over obstacles) but I also like the protection the steel OxLites provide for the CV Boots.

Good point about the steel guards. I found some "deluxe" guards at a local AC dealer(Fiser).I'm going to go look at them Friday.Supposed to be better than the ones on the 2001 models.I looked at the oxlite website but could not find any guards to fit AC.I'll call them tomorrow. Thanks

They make them, Most of the people on the forum have them I think. I know I do. I'm trying to modify mine. I kinda bent them, while doing about 10 mph I hit a cypress knee and stoped dry.

It bent that right side VERY VERYlittle, but with the lift kit and the suspension at full drop it was enough to rub the boot clip. So I'm working on a way to mount the boot guards with more clearance between the boot and the boot guard.

I ordered mine from rockymountainatv.com. I think they were about $45.00 for the pair. I did have to do a little modification on both of mine to make sure they had enough clearance from the tires at full suspension droop and lock to lock turns & enough clearance from the frame at full suspension compression. Nothing major, just a little bending with a crescent wrench. Probably would have never been a problem but just wanted to be absolutley sure I would never tear anything up.

By the way, they offer excellent coverage & are very strong.
