First make sure you have not mixed fluid types. I had a friend that put DOT 3 in instead of DOT 4 which it calls for. Second make sure the pads are not binding on anything. Mine seem to build up rust on the pin that holds the pads in place and then the pad tilts instead of sliding OR dirt builds up aropund the piston and keeps it fro moving. Third, it can be a real pain to bleed the brakes without a second person to help. These brake lines are so short the slightest bit of air causes issues.
Finally I would check my wheel bearings to make sure they are not pushing the brake pads out and don't forget to "burnish the brakes" They will not work effectively if you don't do this.

ive had issues with my 02 500 for the past 6 years, been in the shop under warrenty 7 times and still dont work. Pain in the ***, i cant let anyone ride it b/c it has no brakes. my next step is to test each caliper to see if it is working correctly. to put all new stuff on is 700.00 dollars. i should have made them put all new stuff on right before warranty went out on it.
