If you look on the left rear frame tube there should be either a sticker and or a VIN number stamped into the frame.
What you are looking for is something like 4UF05ATV........
The first 3 digits (4UF in my example) designate vehicle type and who makes it) the next two are the year (05) the the next three designate it as an ATV
This will let yo know the year and such such.
There are marks on the camshaft and the timing chain sprocket that must be lined up and the cam lobes need to be positioned as well. I have 3 pages of the service manual for the installation of the cam and timing chain scanned into the computer I can email you.

From these numbers it was made in the USA by Arctic Cat in 2003. The remaining numbers in the VIN designate things like engine size and drive type.
