Default 09 Artic cat 400 2 seater

Today the factory was very understanding and are taking care of everything. The axles will be recalled on the 400 2 seater. Looking at belt issue now, have never had this problem. Factory said H-L does not matter other than steep uphill or rough muddy trail, etc. They think the 400 2 seater may not have enough power to pull the weight, causing the belt to jump and get hot. The 500 has much more power and that is why no problems with drive gears- belts in any gear H or L. The same frame and axles are used in every model. The spacers used to fit the 400 motor in place put the axles at bad angles possibly causing axle binding? The factory is very understanding and are doing the right thing. The shop I purchased from frankly could care less about what is happening. I have my secretary email 2 people everyday and tell them how they handled the service after the sale. D P Performance in Cedar City ,Utah will soon find out how small Las Vegas is. I am very fortunate that Extreme ATV in Mesquite, Nev. (Artic cat dealer)has a rock star service dept. They have handled every issue timely and professionally. If anyone needs repairs- maintenence in soutern Utah or Vegas area Extreme ATV in Mesquite rocks

good deal, glad to see a dealer stepping up to the plate and take care of their customers. Its bad dealers that don't take care of their product/customers that sometimes gives atv brands a bad reputation. I hope everything works out for you.

In-laws have a 2008 TRV 400 and no issue so far.......It don't seem under-powered even with the two of them on it.......But they don't ride it very hard,So I can't really compare it to our Polaris Sportsman's.................

He did ride my polaris and even with the A/C set to the softest setting, the polaris is still has a softer ride he told me,.....But I did tell him the TRV is made for two riders and the coil springs over the shocks are a much tigher coil wrap......Over-all they are happy with it......Nice large gas tank.......Caper......
