I just wanted to thank you for tipping me off on the AC prices in Alabama in your forum responses over the past few weeks. I just recently purchased a 2001 500 4x4 (Man) for $5,500 out-the door at the dealership in Gadsden. I added the winch deal + installation for another $100. I will be picking it up in late March when I vist my in-laws in Birmingham. I did call Beckman's this morning and your right they still have the 400 4x4 for $4,600+tax (a great deal!)considering the MSRP is around $5,500, but they wanted $5,700+tax for the 2001 500 4x4 (called as was curious if they were lower than Gadsden). I decided on the 500 4x4 instead due to the extra power for use here in Colorado as the mountains are extremely steep plus the full-time 4x4 can wear you out on the hard pack trails as I found out riding my friend's Yamaha Big Bear 350 4x4 last year. Most of the AC dealers in Colorado wanted top dollar (MSRP+) for everything I called on. One dealer wouldn't even give me a quote on Email or over the phone, but expected me to drive 100 miles to personally negotiate with him. Well I've rambled on long enough. Once again thanks for the info. and looking forward to being a member of the Artic Cat fraternity.

PS: The comments from the AC members in this forum was the #1 reason I purchased an AC over all the rest of the ATVs out there. I looked and compared all manufacturer models, but it was obvious to me you get more of a utility ATV for the price with an AC. Thanks to everyone!

when I purchased the 400 the dealer sold it for $4999. Plus $69. for the winch. And I did get him to throw in the 4 in rack ext for nothing. I did try to get him down on the price but he did'nt want to budge.
