Default AC 700 TRV Rear End Clunk

I have a new AC 700 TRV with about 19 hrs on it. When I was putting it up after riding last time, when turning sharply to the left I heard a metallic clunking noise coming out of the rear somewhere, maybe the rear differential. It is under warranty and is currently at the dealer. Just wondered if anybody else has had the problem and what it might be.

Sounds like a diff or rear 1/2 shaft. If it's under warranty take to the deal ASAP and let them fix it. The longer you wait, AC Warranty can come up with excuses NOT to pay.

Good luck

Thanks cupsz71. I took it right away and the dealer is Bass Pro/Tracker Marine. Hopefully I won't get any flack from AC

Sometimes the pins fall out that hold the brake pads in place and can cause wierd clunking noises as well. Usually the machine is a little older though so it is probabaly a bearing or shaft issue which can be covered under warranty as long as the dealer does not say it was "abused".

Good call and choice to take it in under warranty (you paid for it why not use it!). Now you will also find out how good a dealer you have as well.

Default Faulty CV Joint

This turned out to be a faulty CV joint. The dealer replaced it and the half shaft under warranty with no problems. They said it was a defective part from Arctic Cat's supplier

Alright!, up and running. Always a good feeling. Plus, it sounds like you have a good dealer to boot!
