Arctic Cat 300 Problems...
#1
Hello, new to the website and planning on being an common user... anyways, I have a 2003 Arctic Cat 300 4x4 atv that will not hold it's battery charge. I've replaced the battery several times but before when i would check it it was charging fine. but just checked it with a new battery and its only at 12.6 Volts on a 12 volt battery, so i know that the bike isn't charging. i also contacted the local Arctic Cat dealer and they said it was common for a wire to wear on the voltage regulator. i haven't checked it out yet but was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what may be causing the problems. The bike is getting to the point where it broke down and luckily i had a friend riding with me to get back to my cabin. any help is greatly appreciated!

i too had a 300. it was a 1999 model but yes it did have the regulator fail which caused the battery to drain. basically a direct short. changed it out and it was good to go. The part at the time was $80.00. Not saying for sure this is it,but id check it out.
