Default A C 300 Idle setting

I just purchased a low mileage AC 300 and changed oil & filter and after was trying to adjust the idle. The adjuster was stuck so I lubed it and got a pliers on it to free it. It then worked fine, but I did not count the number of turns I made on it, and now I cannot start the engine. (not so cool) Spins fine but will not start. Is there a base setting for the idle adjuster that I could start from? Thanks.

The idle adjustment screw I believe just gives it a little more or a little less throttle. SO you should be able to give it some throttle and start it then adjust it from there?

Unless it is the low speed fuel screw you adjusted. It should be 2 and 1/4 turns out. So screw it all the way in until it first stops DO NOT FORCE IT! Then come out 2 and 1/4 turns. Adjust it form there.

If this does not help then we would need to know what year AC300 and exactly what screw on the carb where you turning.

Thank you for your response. This morning I discovered a new spark plug, a fully charged battery and fresh fuel is the correct combination to get it started. It may have just been flooded, and I placed more importance on the idle adjustment than I should have.
