New to the forum. I have a problem that is driving me nuts with the high gear. The kids sheared the shaft in the transmission. Bought a new shaft and had the gear pressed on. I put everything back together as best as I can tell but now the high gear when driving is shifting in and out high gear. Low gear and reverse works fine. The service manual breakdown on the transmission is not the same as what I have so I am not sure if I got all the washers, dogs and shifting fork exact. The high gear dog has very little travel before it engages or disengages and the 4 ears on the high gear dog has wear marks from the disengaging. I have adjusted the shifting linkage with no change.
