I have a 2008 700 non trv....but is has the goodyear's on it....i noticed that going from my machine to my gf's 05' 400 is like power steering....i have been running about 4.5psi...if u have these tires u might want to increase psi as previous poster stated

weez440,

I see you have the same atv as me, '08 700 EFI. My wife has the '08 EFI H1 and hers is much easier to steer than mine is. I know they have a more ergonomic handlebar and H1 engine, but other than that there does not appear to be any difference in them. I guess "harder to steer" is relative, just wanted to know your thoughts on the steering. It does not bother me, but my wife complains everytime she rides mine since it is definitely tougher to steer than hers.

I have an 09 550 EFI TRV. it steers relatively easy. I have found that a lot has to do with your position, whether your on an incline or decline, and the surface type you are traversing. In addition to the tires. I just changed my tires to turf tires for the winter. I dont want to mess up my maxis tires with chaines for snow plowing. The turf tires increased the turning ease by 100%. It feels like power stearing. Then again, it is an ATV. If your standing still, with mud tires, it will be hard to turn the tires. That just comes with the territory.

check your toe in/out, should be toe in 1/8-1/4 in. both my 07,08 had one wheel pointed out, got it back close to where it should be and it helped it steer a lot better

the reason the regular atv will steer easier is cause it has a shorter wheelbase. i know i have to twist my handlebars forward cause they are too low for my liking and are very uncomfy if i have been riding all day. i can let you know if this makes a steering difference or not.
