exhaust question

2000 4x4 500cc, any ideas on how to make the muffler breath better? i want to keep the oem muffler, im thinking of cutting the end off, gutting it, then welding the end back on.
good idea??

why do you want it to breath better? its going to make it louder.

A little louder is fine with me, the whole issue is the little teeny 90 for the exhaust outlet, it looks so....…cute, and I don't like it.

It will only be louder and sound like crap, and you will not get any more power out of it...very simply, it will sound like a gutted muffler (amazing, yes?)
