My 2009 H-1 is slipping at take- off & the fan is running constantly
[QUOTE=soglesby;2999704]I rode my bike about a month ago. No problems. Got it out Saturday to ride and it cuts out like the transmission is slipping, won't get over 16 mph (in high gear) and the fan keeps running! Can anybody help me please?![/QUOTE
Welcome to the forum sogesby .
Sounds like your quad could be in limp-mode this happens if you get water sucked into the air-intake of the belt housing causing belt slippage whitch triggers the limp-mode to keep you from shreading the belt and damaging the clutches , this would keep your speed low , i would remove the drain bolt on the belthousing and in newtral rev the engine to see if water or oil if it is indeed the oil seal leaking ; if nothing comes out the drain hole then pull the cover and inspect the belt and clutches for any damage !
There are some members on the forum that can help you reset the limp-mode after you solve the problem , i own a 2006 AC 400 FIS Auto 4x4 and i've taken it into water up to the bottom of the headlights without getting my belt wet , but i was going slow enough that i didn't make a big splash going through the creek ; the air intakes for the belt housing and air box are located up high up under the front plastics at the handlebars !
Good luck with quad and i hope it's as simple as water in the belt-housing .
