Hello all, I have been looking at getting a 500shift. I opened the newspaper this moring and they are selling 01' for $5099 how are they doing this, they must now be able to nock the price down if you decide not to get the winch or the ext. warr.... Has anyone heard about this....

More fuel for the fire!!!! It would make sense that if they were coming out with a new 500 they would be selling out the existing 500's. Same thing Honda did with the 400 and 450's before the Rubicon was released. Now the question becomes what is the difference between the 2001 and the 2002 models? If there isn't much but looks and a few small features the 2001 maybe the best Buy? Feels like there up to something! Artic Cat maybe able to hide their new releases better because they are not as well known. Anybody got an update?

I will believe anything right now. A friend showed me an email he got back from a honda dealer on prices for a 450s and a manual shift rancher.

After $300 honda bonus bucks, the prices were 450s- $5050, Rancher- $4450. Damn, I never got that dealer under maybe $5900 on a 450s myself.

How much was the auto? Man I am buying the 300 for $4,500 and if the 500 is that cheap then I will definetly bump up the extra $500 for it. I would prefer the auto but would take the manual.

I didn't get the price on the Auto but most of the time its $200 over the shift. For the 300 4x4 they want 4199, and the 4x4 400 they want 4395, I talked to them today and they said they have tons of ATV's

For the difference, even if you had to pay freight on it from Minnesota that seems like it would be heck of a price.
