Default 700 efi does only 50 mph

i have an 08 700 efi and i just put a clutch kit in it and am running 27 inch tires. i can crack it down and it has great power and it hits 50 mph and it starts missing at exactly 50 mph just like it is pinging the rev limiter. the clutch kit didn't give me any real low end gain. i am so disapointed in the power the 700 puts out my 650 v2 was a beast compared to this motor. is there anything i can do short of caming it that can wake this pooch up?

Did you change out the rollers? Its sounds like you did with the new clutch kit. heavy roller weights will cause the engine to run lower rpm,the lighter weights will allow it to rev higher. watch this. Its a wet clutch delete. i just called him today and its not actually out yet as he needs to find a manufacturer for some seals. He said maybe 2 months it will be ready. Watch the whole thing...81mph!!! Faster than a stock thundercat. YouTube - ‪Artic Cat 700H1 Wet Clutch Delete by ///AIRDAM Clutches using CVtech Clutch‬‏

heres the web page. Im sending mine off this week for stage 1 and stage 2. These are not like the wet clutch,he machines them down...just take a look: Airdam Clutches

Also,He told me that our bikes, stock, run about 5,600 rpm,he gets them to run up to about 6,500 rpm,and with a copperhead,he said they were able to get it up to 8,400 rpm but was not recommended. Our bikes are just tuned down alot. the correct clutch work can help. I have EPI now,but it doesnt do what i want either,so im going with airdam///. Its about 150 plus shipping for stage 1 and 2. Let me know if your interested or any more questions.

wow that is deffinately impressive and i am really interested. for some reason it seemed like it was running right and we had 18 wheelers out this weekend and played in the mud and i ran the hell out of the 700 and it started running better and better. my sister blew a belt on her wheeler and i pulled it back on loose gravel roads at 51 mph, with mud packed in my undercarriage. i took it out the other day and in a couple hundred yards i got 55 out of it and it was still climbing when i let off so i can live with that. i even raced an 800 polaris stock with 28 inch tires and beat him with mine and a clutch kit and 27's. let me know if you get this done mud cause i am very very intersted in that clutching cause i live in polaris country and i have to keep my machine at the top of it's game all the time.

ok i will probably do that, i signed up for arcticchat a long time ago and i have the same username too. i am just curious if it will be as reliable as the stock setup. if i do it i might do it this fall after deer season, cause my wheeler doesn't get much use until i push snow. thanks once again mud you have been a great friend.

I have an 08 700 efi and have stage 1&2, worth every penny, I love it. In my opinion /// is the only way to go for AC clutches.

My 650 H1 goes 55 with 26in tires. Cats are geared low, not made to go fast. That V2 went fast, because due to it's two cylinders.

half of my problem is that it wasn't even broke in yet. as of right now it does 57 on loose gravel. actually as of right now it does 0 cause the wife hit a pickup truck on the road and it is in about 50 peaces in the garage right now. i am brining the steering post in tomorrow to get straightened then i am going to sell it and i got my eyes on the prowler hdx. i am planning on a full hard cab and a set of tracks so i can use it year round specially for ice fishing and cruising the groomed snowmobile trails.
