Tire Patching
#2
That sounds like a pretty big hole. I would be careful for a while and test it out. I would hate to be out several miles away from the trailer and find out the patch will not hold! A new tire might be a better idea. You probably are thinking about the 27" Titan 589's anyway. Good Luck!

Catman,
I had a slice in my tire 1in and 3/4 long, from a glass bottle someone left on a trail. I took my tire to a local truck tire shop, and they did a 'section' on it. I got the tire back and it looks like they fused or spliced a new piece of rubber over the hole. tire is as good as new and still tubeless. Call around your area and ask....
$25 bucks.....better than $70.

Thanks guys for the info, but I could not get anyone to try to fuse it. So they tried a big patch, and messed with it for about 45 minutes no charge WOW. So I told them to see if they could get the titan. I cant remember exact size it is for rear of 300 4x4. Price 54 bucks mounted. After all the work they did for free I told them to order. Thanks Again..
