Help with a couple 2001 Artic Cat 500's
#1
Hello, a newbie here...
I have 2 2001 Artic Cat 500's that have been sitting for over a year, neither is operational.
First one will start and idle, but dies when ever any throttle is applied. I did find the hose from the air filter to the carb had a large crack...so i suspect a plugged jet...what does it take to clean the carb on these machines?
Second one has no brake fluid (getting that today) and the handle is free to move. But the cat will not start. When I turn on the key I the fan starts and all the lights work, but when I hit the started there is a click - but nothing else. I have the cat in neutral.
Any help would be appreciated.

An update - after several hours of disassembly (find the right tool being a big part of that) I removed the carb and cleaned the jets...one was completely plugged. Once the bike was back together it ran like a champ...now to the other one :-).
