Default Need help 2006 dvx 250

Ok, the battery crapped out so i replaced it, just within one or two rides the follwing happened, if you turn the key on no lights come on ie neutral light or high beam lights on key ignition panel and starter button does not work, but if you jump the solenoid to start it it runs and lights work, also with the engine running you can hit the starter button and hear it work, i replaced the solenoid thinking that was problem but it wasnt, any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you find/fix the problem you were having on your 2006 dvx 250 ?

If not you will probally find that you have a short in the wiring harness like my friend did , he did everything you did , battery ,solenoid and he also replaced the starter relay , the fix for his quad was in the wiring harness ; he had to remove the plastic's to find the problem a chapped wire in the wiring harness near the handlebars/steering/stem was rubbing again't the frame !

I hope you got it fixed , if you did it would be helpful to other's in the future if you'd post a reply to your original post !
