Where can I find a good mount for a Garmin GPS. At a good price? Gander Mountain has a RAM for about $60.00 Thanks

Garmin makes mounts that are much less than the Ram, I have one for my dash that cost 24.95 I have one that fits handle bars I swap from wheeler to Harley. About the same price shipping inc.,very nice mounts. I used E-Bay for both mounts. I also got cables to hard wire them for 12 volts. Check out E-Bay, just search for Garmin GPS. I use it for a speedometer on the wheeler.

The Garmin handlebar mount for GPSII+ (and other triangular cross-section receivers) I use was made for bicyles, but works on an ATV and is stronger than it looks. No shock-mounting, you can scramble the innards of the GPS receiver (been there, done that--$ 80 T-shirt (repair) fee).

A hinged pair of rubber-lined half-circles fasten a plastic fixture to the handlebar, the receiver fits in a plastic bracket (held with one screw) that snaps into the handlebar fixture. Easy on and off.

Maybe your Garmin receiver would take the G-loads I put on mine without damage; knowing what I know now, I might consider one of the shock-mounts instead of the less expensive Garmin product.

I must use the cheapest mount of anyone here. Mine is just peel and stick velcro. I have stuck on the gas cap and the back of the GPS unit. I have used it this way for the past 5 years and yet to have it fall off or damage the unit due to vibration. As a matter of fact it seems the more it vibrates the tighter it sticks. I have done this on my my KQ, Bayou and now my AC. Just my 2 cents in this discussion.

I bought a RAM mount for my Magellan, and I love it. It has nice, thick foam that is extremely durable, and the rubber ball mount provides vibration reduction with a no-slip mount. I thought it was worth the money.

to2ks....The squeeze type cellphone holders also work good. They are available most everywhere for 15 to 20 bucks. I can send you a picture if you want.

Let me tell you - I lost my new GPS because I went and bought a cheap a** Garmin Handlebar mount for 15 dollars. Had my unit under 5 hrs - and went riding - before I knew it - it was gone ! and I didnt find it.
Now I am seriously considering not buying anything that looks very secure - and has some sort of shock proof capability. I think I found it. Its made by a company called CycoActiveHeres' the link for the GPS ATV mount I liked

Anyway - guys dont buy junk - I ride a 400EX -and ride somewhat hard - I wasnt even getting started - next thing I know its gone ! Spend more money - make sure it stays...

Just my 2 cents.
