Default wheel size matter?

Hello i am new to atv ownership and have questions.I recently purchased a A/C 09 550 efi,I like the machine fine. Was looking it over and discovered the wheel size is not the stock size. Both the front and rear are one inch taller and one wider. Will this affect more than my speedo? What about the gears in the diff.I think altho there only one inch difference it may take a little more power to get them turning, but as far as that goes I thinking it should be fine. Can someone chime in and set me straight.

What kind of tire are they? Some larger tires gain no wheel weight.
Yes it throws your speedo and trip meter off alittle.
I assume there 26" tires from 25".
On a 550 you will not notice a thing.
My 350 has 26" tall tires and also are a inch wider and I did not notice any performance loss, but they are maxxis Zillas the lightest mud tire made.

My front (19.6lbs) 26x9-12 Zillas weight the same as my smaller and thinner(19.7lbs) 25x8-12 Mudlite XLs. Both have a tall 1-1/8" mud lug.

Right on,you assumed correct.I new allot of people ran bigger tires, but it never mattered untill I got a quad. Now how do I measure the rim size/bolt pattern.I measure across the wheel lugs and measure 4.5" or 115mm.I see on sites that sell rims similar numbers.Am I out to lunch, how do I find out what rims are gona fit.I"ll be home next week and when I go into order parts i can ask them.I know them guys and wont feel dumb asking.
Thanks
