I took the front wheels off the ole quad last night to make all the mud was cleaned out for a muddy ride on Sunday. After cleaning everything out and reboltiing the wheels on I gave them the usual wiggle test for ball joint and steering play, I had some movement up and down and thought man 116 miles and the ball joints are bad already, upon farther inspection the ball joints had no movement at all, I put the rubber cap off the castle nut and low and behold my problem. The castle nut was so loose that when I took the cotter pin out I was able to remove it with my fingers, should have been torqued to 75lbs. I have no idea how long it has been like that, what irritates me the most is 2 weeks ago the dealer had it for a week doing its 100 mile service, how you miss that I have no idea. $150 don’t get ya much these days, this is exactly why I hate paying for service, it ain’t theirs so you get second rate service.

Hey Tom, sorry to hear that. Maybe I need to check mine out this weekend. Did you check your diffs for water? I washed off my cat Monday night, and got another mud bath. I had a blast riding sunday though. I hope you guys can make it out to Athens for a day or two. I know you all will enjoy it. Besides, we need some more Cats out there! Bill
