The winch is wired that way from the factory, the solenoid does not draw power, it only makes the connection, the winch itself draws the power from the battery.

The grip heaters haven't been used all summer, and they draw less than five amps when in use, they aren't the issue.

Would a bad CDI box cause this issue?

one or both could have a draw.. i would go back trough your wiring. you already fixed some wire but could have a bad spot/plug some ware else. check all connectios before pulling them apart check the backside and make sure a pin is not farther out than the rest.

Had my carbs cleaned and it would not pump fuel to the carbs. It would run on a drip line but not connected to the fuel assembly. The guy said everything was corroded from bad gas. He said the pump itself was bad and the part it sits on was beyond use. He did not think it could be salvaged.

The winch is wired the way it is wired FROM THE FACTORY, I did not wire it that way, Arctic Cat did. The winch doesn't even work, so I can't use it. The grip warmers haven't been used in over a year, no need to warm the grips when it's 80 degrees out.
They aren't the problem.

Can a bad CDI box cause this problem?

Prolly not but voltage reg/recf. can check if over charging,,check charging rate bout half throttle needs 13.5 to 14.5 on average can go up to 15 volts but most of time over that volts starts heating up other parts an start blowing or burning out them

Can you attach a mechanical pump and remove the electric pump and the 650 v2 still run correctly. Has anyone tried to do this?
