Good news! I know that feeling waiting for the new quad! You will enjoy! The manual says to break it in for 10 hours or 100 miles without full throtle or heavy towing. You should then change the oil and filter and retorque some things. Make sure you burnish the brake pads too. They need repeated stops from about 20-30mph. This really "seats" them and makes them work better. Your manual explains it too. One thing to watch is your pad wear if you do a ton of mud riding. Clean them! The mud/sand wears them out fast. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey Guys !

Thanks for the words of encouragement ! It is nice to go to a forum and not get bashed or read post after post of mindless babble from 10 year olds or 40 year olds acting like 10 year olds ! On a serious note as I sit here inpatiently reading and memomorizing my AC Information sheet I am even more impressed by the quality and workmanship on this quad. One question I did have is that the brochure says that the 400 and 500's have 2 electrical outlet adapters and I can only find one. Where is the 2nd one located I found the one on the left hand side.

Have a great weekend everyone !
I will be working

Hey tdbrph,

Congrats on your new purchase. To answer your question on the 12V outlets, the 2nd outlet is at the back of the machine. From the rear of the machine, look under the plastic, right under the right support for the back rack. There should be a 2 prong trailer-type lead back there that's plugged in to a pigtail. That's the 2nd outlet. It's for running accessories such as 12V sprayers and such. You have to search a little for it at first. Good luck with your new machine

tdbrph, I also will be bringing a 400 4X4 cat home next week. After reading your posts and mine I had to laugh. We sound like a couple of kids christmas morning. But I can't help that I have been wanting one for quite a while. Hope everything goes good with your new machine. I can hardly sleep.

tbstone,

That is to funny ! Like I said earlier I find myself scanning through the brochure every chance I get and marking up my accessory brochure with everything I want to add to it !! This sport is definately like a DRUG you just cant get enough. Good thing I am a pharmacist !! Good luck with your purchase we wil have to compare stories throughout the break in period !!

Have a great weekend,
